HC Deb 09 December 1935 vol 307 cc565-6
Mr. ATTLEE

(by Private Notice) asked the Prime Minister whether he has any statement to make on the recent conversations in Paris.

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

Yes, Sir. Conversations were held on 7th and 8th December between my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary and M. Laval, the French Prime Minister. A statement was issued at the conclusion of the conversations and appeared in the Press this morning. The documents drawn up as the result of these conversations reached London at an early hour this morning and are receiving urgent consideration. I should prefer not to make any further statement at the present moment.
