HC Deb 01 August 1935 vol 304 c2824
10. Mr. LECKIE

asked the Minister of Labour, whether he will take immediate steps to introduce legislation with a view to securing that chauffeurs engaged by private employers shall be insurable under the Unemployment Insurance Acts.

Mr. E. BROWN

The question of insuring this class must be dealt with as part of the general question of insuring private domestic servants, which, in accordance with the promise already given in this House, will be referred to the Unemployment Insurance Statutory Committee as soon as practicable.
