§ 69. Mr. MANDER
asked the Secretary for Mines the present position with regard to the ratification of the international convention on the hours of work in mines; and when is it expected that this will be signed and brought into operation?
I have nothing to add to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour to a question by the hon. Member for Aberdare (Mr. G. Hall) on 2nd July.
§ Mr. MANDER
Can the Secretary for Mines say whether there is any controversy 2856 still remaining in regard to this matter, or whether it is now a matter of general international agreement.
It is agreed to this extent that six other countries and ourselves have considered the Convention.
