HC Deb 29 April 1935 vol 301 c31
5. Mr. HOLDSWORTH (for Mr. MANDER)

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will state the present position with regard to the dispute between Italy and Abyssinia?

Sir J. SIMON

Both the Italian and Ethiopian Governments have declared their intention to give effect to the conciliation procedure laid down in the Italian-Ethiopian Treaty of Friendship of 1928, which calls for the appointment of a conciliation commission of four persons, two being selected by each party to the dispute.
