HC Deb 17 April 1935 vol 300 c1848
50. Mr. ANNESLEY SOMERVILLE (for Duchess of ATHOLL)

asked the Secretary of State for India whether the negotiations are still continuing in regard to the cession of the civil station of Bangalore to Mysore; and whether he will give an undertaking that any agreement arrived at in this matter shall be subject to the approval of Parliament?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Mr. Butler)

The question of the partial retrocession of the Bangalore Assigned Tract is still engaging the attention of the authorities in India. My right hon. Friend will, of cource, be ready to furnish the House with full information regarding whatever arrangements are eventually made in this matter.
