HC Deb 15 April 1935 vol 300 c1604
Mr. ATTLEE

May I ask the Prime Minister, whom I am glad to see in his place, when he will be in a position to make a statement to the House on the subject of the discussions at Stresa?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Ramsay MacDonald)

I must confess to the House that I have not had time since my return, only about an hour ago, to consider this statement. So far as the business done at Stresa is concerned, I will try to make it to-morrow, but, if I find it physically impossible to do so, I would ask the House to allow me to make it on Wednesday.

Mr. ATTLEE

I wish to give notice on that statement that it is proposed to raise the general question of these discussions on Thursday on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House.

Ordered, That the Proceedings of the Committee of Ways and Means be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
