asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will consider the desirability of negotiating trade agreements between Palestine and the several countries which export large quantities of goods to Palestine without purchasing from Palestine more than a negligible quantity of Palestinian produce?

Yes, Sir. The requirements of Palestine have received and continue to receive careful consideration. But I think it may be found in practice that the most satisfactory results are likely to be obtained in the course of negotiations for commercial treaties undertaken by the United Kingdom.
