HC Deb 10 April 1935 vol 300 c1144
47. Mr. KIRKWOOD

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the inconvenience caused to passengers by breakdowns on the tube and underground railways of London, he will request the London Passenger Transport Board to take steps to inform the public when there is a breakdown, so that other means of transport can be used, and also to inform the public by their railway officials that fares will be returned where a passenger leaves the train to reach his destination by other means?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I will bring the hon. Member's suggestions to the attention of the. London Passenger Transport Board
