Amendment made: In page 232, line 19, at the end, add:
(2) Any liability of the Government of Burma to, or in respect of, any person who is at the commencement of this Part of this Act a judge of the High Court, being a liability to pay a pension granted to or in respect of any such person as aforesaid or any other liability of such a nature as to have been enforceable in legal proceedings against the Secretary of State in Council if this Act has not been passed, shall, notwithstanding a anything in this Part of this Act, be deemed for the purposes of the provisions of Chapter X of this Part of this Act relating to legal proceedings to he a liability arising under a statute passed before the commencement of this Part of this Act."—[Sir S.
