Amendments made: In page 199, line 14, leave out from "or," to "British," and insert:
India or subjects of any Indian State, or against companies incorporated whether before or after the passing of this Act by or under the laws of the United Kingdom or.
In line 17, at the end, add:
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing provisions a law shall be deemed to be such as to discriminate against such persons or companies as aforesaid if it would result in any of them being liable to greater taxation than that to which they would have been liable if they were domiciled in Burma or incorporated by or under the laws of Burma, as the case may be."—[Sir S.
