HC Deb 03 April 1935 vol 300 cc344-5
16. Captain STRICKLAND

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that in view of the congestion which obtains in the poorer sections of Tel-Aviv there is an urgent need for the provision of more hospital beds for maternity cases and hospital accommodation generally; and whether he will suggest to the High Commissioner For Palestine that urgent consideration should be given to the proposals of the municipality of Tel-Aviv to be permitted to provide such additional and improved accommodation without delay?

Sir P CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I am not in a position to confirm the statement in the first part of the question, but I will bring the representations of my hon. and gallant Friend to the notice of the High Commissioner for Palestine.
