§ 51. Sir CHARLES CAYZERasked the Home Secretary whether he can make any statement with regard to the investigation now being carried on in this country by Dr. Ganz, Attorney-General to the Basle Government, in conjunction with Scotland Yard, with a view to ascertaining whether certain persons in this country were implicated in the plot which resulted in the kidnapping of the Jewish journalist, Herr Berthold Jacob, from Basle to Germany on 9th March?
§ Sir J. GILMOURI would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on Thursday last to the senior Member for Dundee (Mr. Dingle Foot).
§ Sir C. CAYZERCan my right hon. Friend say whether there is any foundation 22 for the views expressed by the French and Swiss police that the kidnapping of Herr Jacob was planned weeks ago by a German counter-refugee organisation having branches in Paris and London, and, in this case, whether the Home Office is taking any steps to round up and deport the members of the organisation?
§ Sir J. GILMOURI cannot express any views on that matter.
