asked the Minister of Labour the present assets and liabilities of the Unemployment Insurance Fund?

Mr. HUDSON

After allowing for the accrued charge for debt services under Section 18 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1934, there is a sum of approximately £8,950,000 in hand on the Insurance Account of the Unemployment Fund; the amount of the funded debt outstanding is about £105,740,000.
