§ 5. Mr. OSWALD LEWISasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now in a position to make an announcement with regard to the ratification by this country of the convention concluded at the international conference in November of last year for the protection of the fauna and flora of Africa; and whether the Governments of any other countries have yet ratified this convention?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom intend to take early steps with a view to the ratification of the convention, and would propose subsequently to ascertain the intentions of the other participating Governments, none of whom has yet ratified.
