HC Deb 30 October 1934 vol 293 c27
54. Mr. ALBERY

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can now make a statement on negotiations concerning international currency arrangements?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have no new statement to make on the matter.

Mr. LAMBERT

Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether the American Ambassador was expressing an official opinion in what he stated as to the necessity or advisability of currency stabilisation between America and Great Britain.

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I understand that the Ambassador was expressing his own opinion.
