asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps have been taken to rehouse those inhabitants of Longriggend, Lanarkshire, who were recently rendered homeless by fire?

I am informed that the families recently rendered homeless have been temporarily accommodated in empty houses or with friends and that the local authority have at present under consideration the question of providing other more suitable accommodation.
