HC Deb 28 November 1934 vol 295 cc831-2
22. Captain FULLER

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the decreased yields on fixed-interest securities, he is considering the question of obtaining some relief for the Crown Colonies?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

This question is one which receives constant attention, and my hon. and gallant Friend may rest assured that advantage is taken of every opportunity of effecting reductions in the interest payments falling upon Colonial Governments. Where an option exists or is about to mature, conversion, or repayment has been or is being undertaken.
