HC Deb 27 November 1934 vol 295 cc662-3
34. Miss WARD

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he has any statement to make relative to the amended schemes under the Coal Mines Act, 1930, in pursuance of his recent Order?

Mr. E. BROWN

I am pleased to be able to report that all the schemes in force under the Coal Mines Act, 1930, have now been amended to provide for separate allocations for the inland and export trades and for inter-district co-ordination of minimum prices. They will operate in their amended form from 1st January next.

Mr. MARTIN

Were there any serious objections from any coalfield?

Mr. BROWN

The hon. Member will realise that every scheme has a mass of detail in it, and there were a number of small points, but they have all been met in every district.
