As from 1st July, 1934, one-half of the emergency reductions in the salaries of civil servants imposed in the autumn of 1931 have been restored, and consolidation of Civil Service remuneration has been effected, subject to temporary abatements. The effect of these measures has been to alter the numbers falling within the various categories mentioned.
