HC Deb 08 November 1934 vol 293 c1278
67. Brigadier-General NATION

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether it is proposed to hold any military reviews in which the Territorial Army will take part in celebration of His Majesty's Silver Jubilee next year; and, if so, will he consider granting special facilities to units of the British National Cadet Association in order that they may send. representative detachments to join in these celebrations?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Douglas Hacking)

The form which the celebrations will take is still under consideration, and an announcement will be made in due course. Such suggestions as that made by my hon. and gallant Friend will be given all consideration.

Brigadier-General NATION

Will units which are affiliated to territorial units—I am thinking now of cadet units-be the only ones which will be invited on these occasions, and will expenses be met out of a special grant?

Mr. HACKING

I have already told my hon. and gallant Friend that the whole matter is under consideration. I cannot add anything to my answer.
