Mr. HUTCHISONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that the number of foreign wireless sets imported into this country during the first nine months of this year was 53,984 as against 25,321 during a similar period in 1933; and whether any steps are being taken to reduce such imports?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI am aware of the fact to which attention is drawn by my hon. Friend. Any question of an increased duty on wireless sets is a matter for the Import Duties Advisory Committee in the first place.
