HC Deb 29 May 1934 vol 290 c5
6. Mr. OSWALD LEWIS

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is now in a position to make a statement on the subject of the negotiations for a trading agreement between this country and Holland?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

It is hoped that the negotiations will be opened some time next month.

Mr. LEWIS

Can the right hon. Gentleman assure the House that in these negotiations the interests of horticulturists in this country, particularly the rose growers, will not be overlooked?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

Yes, Sir.
