YOUNGOf the 120,781 houses provided by private enterprise without State assistance during the half-year referred to, 44,754 were of a rateable value not exceeding £13 (£20 in Greater London), and 22,730 were occupied by persons other than their owners. The statistics available do not include a classification of the house last mentioned according to the rents charged.
