HC Deb 15 May 1934 vol 289 c1596
8. Sir ROBERT HAMILTON

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is now in a position to state when the Salmon Fisheries (Scotland) Bill will be introduced?

Mr. SKELTON

I am not in a position to add anything to the reply given to my Noble Friend the Member for Perth (Lord Scone) on 20th February last, in which it was stated that it would not be possible to proceed with legislation on this subject during the present Session.

Sir R. HAMILTON

Will the Under-Secretary of State see that the Bill is introduced at an early date so that it may receive careful consideration?

Mr. SKELTON

I will bear that point in mind. Meanwhile, the draft of a Bill is in circulation and is under consideration by the authorities concerned.
