HC Deb 15 May 1934 vol 289 cc1603-4
23. Mr. HERBERT WILLIAMS

asked the President of the Board of Trade the value of manufactured goods imported in the first three months of this year in respect of which we are bound by commercial agreements to admit either duty free or at rates of duty which cannot be increased?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I regret that the precise information desired is not available, owing to the fact that the goods in question are not, in all cases, recorded separately in the trade returns of the United Kingdom. I am, however, having a statement prepared, which I will send to my hon. Friend as soon as possible, giving such information as is available.
