HC Deb 15 May 1934 vol 289 cc1606-7

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has succeeded in arranging that published prices of auctioned goods shall represent actual sales and not the prices of bought-in property?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir John Gilmour)

I understand that the matter is being inquired into by a special subcommittee appointed by the Auctioneers' and Estate Agents' Institute but they have not yet reached any conclusion.
