HC Deb 14 May 1934 vol 289 c1461
61. Sir C. COBB

asked the Home Secretary if he will arrange for the Metropolitan police authorities to confer with other local bodies concerned with a view to arriving at a scheme for reducing the traffic congestion during certain hours of the day at the points where St. James's Street, Arlington Street, Dover Street, and Berkeley Street enter Piccadilly?

Mr. HACKING

The Commissioner of Police informs my right hon. Friend that he has under consideration the question of recommending to the Minister of Transport through the London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee that regulations should be made under the London Traffic Act, 1924, with regard to the waiting, loading and unloading of vehicles in this area on the same lines as the regulations which are in force at present in the Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street areas.
