HC Deb 14 May 1934 vol 289 cc1440-1
23. Captain JAMES MacANDREW

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department if he has taken any steps, following on the trade agreement with the Soviet Union, to bring the opportunities for trade in that market to the notice of British exporting firms?

Lieut.-Colonel J. COLVILLE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

A circular was recently issued to firms on the Department's Special Register and to Chambers of Commerce offering to supply them with information which might assist them to enter this market. Considerable interest was shown and over 300 requests for information have been received and dealt with.
