Mr. ANNESLEY SOMERVILLEasked the Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that the Moslem members of the Bombay council are now pressing for the reduction of the rates of land assessment in Sind, after having expressed to the Miles-Irving Committee their willingness to increase the assessment in order to secure the separation of Sind from Bombay; and whether he pro poses to take any steps in the matter?
