Mr. LAWasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that within the past three weeks four British fishing vessels have been molested by Norwegian patrol boats outside the limit line which the Norwegian Government, together with His Majesty's Government, recently accepted; and what steps His Majesty's Government proposes to take to protect British vessels pursuing their lawful occasions on the high seas?
§ Sir J. SIMONYes, Sir. I am aware that these cases of interference have been reported. The matter is being taken up with the Norwegian Government, and my hon. Friend may rest assured that all suitable steps will be taken to ensure that the recent agreement, to which he refers, is respected.
