CUNLIFFE-LISTERClose liaison has existed for many years between the Air Force Officers' Employment Association and the Department of the Colonial Office responsible for recruitment for the Colonial Service. A certain number of ex-Royal Air Force officers were selected for Colonial police appointments before the commencement of the present period of financial stringency, and the claims of such officers will continue to be given careful consideration whenever opportunity occurs in the future. No ex-Royal Air Force officers have been appointed during the period referred to in the second part of the question.
