HC Deb 27 March 1934 vol 287 c1807
37. Mr. HENDERSON STEWART

asked the Minister of Agriculture if any steps are being taken by the various marketing boards by propaganda to explain their purpose and methods to and extend their good will among the general public; and, if not, whether he will bring to the notice of the boards the importance of this department of business organisation?

Mr. ELLIOT

Yes, Sir. I am informed that plans of this nature are under consideration. As a first step, the Milk, Pigs, Bacon and Potato Marketing Boards have arranged, in co-operation with the Ministry, to stage exhibits in the Ministry's pavilion at a number of the leading agricultural shows during the coming summer. The Milk Marketing Board have I understand recently appointed a special publicity officer.
