Dr. HOWITTasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the imports from foreign countries of feeding stuffs for animals during January and February of this year have increased by one-fifth as compared with the corresponding period of the year before; and whether he will take steps to remedy this state of affairs?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI am aware of the figures to which my hon. Friend draws attention. It is open to producers of feeding stuffs in this country who are adversely affected to apply to the Import Duties Advisory Committee with a view to an increase in the rate of duty upon foreign feeding stuffs.
