§ 53. Captain STRICKLAND
asked the Minister of Transport whether the contract entered into with the Associated Equipment Company by the London Passenger Transport Board is for the supply of the same or a larger number of vehicles, etc., than that covered by the pro forma contract alluded to in Section 6 of the London Passenger Transport Act, 1933; and whether that supply is confined to the requirements for the service formerly given by the London General Omnibus Company?
§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Lieut.-Colonel Headlam)
I am informed by the board that the number of omnibuses specified in the contract entered into between the board and the company does not exceed the number covered by the pro forma contract to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers, and that the particular omnibuses, which are subject to the contract, are generally those employed on services formerly operated by the London General Omnibus Company and the other three companies specified in the first Schedule to the pro forma contract.
