HC Deb 26 March 1934 vol 287 c1634
45. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMP-SON

asked the Prime Minister when he will be able to give a day for the discussion of the question of the reform of the League of Nations?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Ramsay MacDonald)

I can only refer my right hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to him on the 29th January last in reply to a similar question.

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

May we take if for granted that it is no longer against the public interest that this question should be discussed in the House?

The PRIME MINISTER

That may be so, but it is quite evident that the time for a proper discussion has not come.

Mr. C. WILLIAMS

Would the right hon. Gentleman agree that it is very urgent that the League of Nations should endeavour to bring in every great Power?
