HC Deb 26 March 1934 vol 287 cc1627-8
35. Sir JOHN WARDLAW-MILNE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air when it is expected that there will be an air-mail service to China; and what route this is likely to follow?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Philip Sassoon)

As I indicated in reply to a question on the 15th March, the whole matter is under active consideration. The negotiations are not yet sufficiently advanced to enable me to make any useful statement, either as to possible routes or otherwise. My hon. Friend will appreciate that the question is one of much intricacy.
