HC Deb 22 March 1934 vol 287 cc1364-5
20. Mr. LECKIE

asked the Minister of Health what steps he proposes to take to call the attention of local authorities and their medical officers to the unhealthy conditions in which many clerks and typists are compelled to work, with a view to their putting into force the powers they already possess for dealing with such matters?

Sir H. YOUNG

Local authorities have, as the hon. Member appreciates, ample powers to deal with insanitary conditions in offices and are fully aware of their powers. Any specific complaints in a particular area should be brought to the notice of the local authority.
