HC Deb 21 March 1934 vol 287 cc1194-5
3. Mr. MANDER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the reply of the French Government with regard to the disarmament situation has now been received; and if he has any statement to make concerning the result of the Lord Privy Seal's recent tour?

Sir J. SIMON

The French reply to the United Kingdom memorandum on disarmament has been received, and is now under consideration. I can make no further statement at present.

Mr. MANDER

Does the right hon. Gentleman think he will be able to make a statement before the House rises for the Easter Recess?

Sir J. SIMON

That matter should, perhaps, be mentioned on a later day. It may be that in the course of a week a memorandum will be published in France.

Sir HERBERT SAMUEL

Is it proposed to publish the supplementary dispatches which have been received since the correspondence already presented as a White Paper?

Sir J. SIMON

I think it will be convenient to have the subsequent documents published. I think they have all been published except the French. I will look into that.
