Captain ARTHUR EVANSI beg to ask leave to present a Petition signed by 338 teachers who are electors in the South Division of Cardiff City. The petitioners humbly pray this honourable House that such provision may be made, by the restoration of the grant-in-aid of teachers' salaries in force prior to the 1st October, 1931, or otherwise, as will enable local education authorities to resume payment forthwith of the appropriate standard scale salaries to their teachers in full accordance with the terms and conditions of the Burnham Award, as approved by the Board of Education and in operation prior to the aforesaid date, and that the petitioners may have such other relief in the premises as to this honourable House may seem fit.
