HC Deb 20 March 1934 vol 287 cc1018-9
12. Mr. HERBERT WILLIAMS

asked the President of the Board of Trade if, having regard to the fact that the import of rubber footwear in February of this year from Hongkong and Singapore were approximately 250,000 pairs as compared with one-eighth of that number in February of last year, he can state what steps he proposes to take to protect the British rubber footwear industry from this growing competition?

Dr. BURGIN

I cannot add anything to the reply which was given to my hon. Friend on the 6th February.
