§ 14. Mr. MALLALIEUasked the Undersecretary of State for Air whether he is aware that two persons of German nationality were refused permission to travel on the Imperial Airways air-liner leaving Alexandria for Athens on 4th March last, on the ground that there was no room, when in fact there were two seats unoccupied; and whether it is in accordance with the subsidy agreement with Imperial Airways, Limited, that there should be discrimination between different nationalities?
§ Sir P. SASSOONI am informed that the company in London have no knowledge of this incident. Inquiries are being made, and I will communicate with the hon. Member later. There is no provision in the subsidy agreement bearing 356 on the nationality of passengers, and discrimination on this point would be contrary to the company's policy.
