HC Deb 01 March 1934 vol 286 c1275
71. Captain CROOKSHANK

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty the total value of Admiralty contracts placed on the Clyde during the last 12 months?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Lord Stanley)

The total value of Admiralty contracts for hulls and machinery placed on the Clyde during the 12 months ended 28th February, 1934, is approximately £3,000,000.

Mr. MARTIN

How does that compare with contracts placed on the Tyne for the same period?

Lord STANLEY

I think those figures have been published.
