§ Captain MACDONALDCan the hon. Gentleman say when it will be possible to make an announcement?
§ Sir G. BOWYERI cannot, but it will be very shortly.

§ 37. Mr. ERNEST EVANS (for Mr. HAYDN JONES)asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the terms of reference of the Royal Commission to inquire into the tithe question in England and Wales will be so drafted as to enable the commission to consider the terms of the loan made by the National Debt Commissioners to the Welsh Church Commissioners, and to make recommendations in respect thereof?
§ Sir G. BOWYERThe terms of reference of the proposed Royal Commission, which were announced in the reply given to the hon. Member for Carmarthen (Mr. R. T. Evans) on the 13th June, are drawn in a form which will allow of the widest possible inquiry into the subject of tithe rentcharge, and the Royal Commission with whom it will rest to interpret them, will no doubt be prepared to consider all relevant matters.
