HC Deb 14 June 1934 vol 290 c1901
72. Sir G. FOX

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he can make any statement as to the curtailment of the Officers Training Corps camps during the summer in consequence of the drought; and what form the reduction will take?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Duff Cooper)

Owing to the drought it will not be possible to hold the customary two camps for the junior division at Tidworth. Camps will be held instead at Rushmoor and Warminster, but there will only be room at these camps for one-half of the number of cadets who would normally attend.
