HC Deb 14 June 1934 vol 290 cc1888-9
46. Sir CHARLES CAYZER

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the outcome of the Disarmament Conference, His Majesty's Government are now prepared to make a further expansion of the Royal Air Force in excess of the development laid down in the Air Estimates for the present year?

45. Rear-Admiral Sir MURRAY SUETER

asked the Prime Minister, in view of the adjournment of the Disarmament Conference, what steps the Government will take forthwith to give us air parity with the greatest air Power within striking distance?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

In the absence of the Prime Minister, I have been asked to answer these questions. I am unable at present to add to the statements of air policy which were made by the Lord President of the Council in the Debate on Air Estimates on 8th March and at the end of the Debate on the Adjournment on 18th May.
