§ Mr. THORNE(by Private Notice) asked the Minister of Transport whether he can give any information to the House in connection with the electricity breakdown in 13 counties on Sunday; and if he can give any reasons for the breakdown in one or more stations?
§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAThe Central Electricity Board have already issued a statement to the Press explaining the origin of this unfortunate trouble and the steps taken to meet it. I made immediate inquiries and have been assured by the board that such a combination of circumstances is not likely to recur.
