HC Deb 25 July 1934 vol 292 c1765
46. Mr. S1MMONDS

asked the Prime Minister whether he proposes to give the House an opportunity before the Recess to discuss the Report of the Committee on Control of Private Flying and the Secretary of State for Air's Memorandum thereon?

The LORD PRESIDENT of the COUNCIL (Mr. Baldwin)

I regret that in the present state of Parliamentary business I cannot hold out any hope of time being found for the discussion of this subject.

Mr. S1MMONDS

In view of the great importance of this matter to all those engaged in civil aviation, can the right hon. Gentleman say whether he will be able to give a very early opportunity after the reassembly of the House?

Mr. BALDWIN

I can give no pledge so far ahead. When I said that no time could be found, that was correct, but of course there would be opportunity, if the hon. Member were able to raise the matter on the Adjournment. That is the only opportunity before the House rises.
