Mr. GORDON MACDONALDasked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the communications sent from urban district councils calling his 1250 attention to the failure of private enterprise to provide an adequate supply of homes under the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1933, to be let at rents payable by the working class; and, in view of the widespread desire that the Government should introduce such financial assistance as will enable local authorities to build this type of house, what action he intends to take?
