HC Deb 19 July 1934 vol 292 cc1258-9
57. Sir PARK GOFF

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether any of the bills accepted by German nationals for British exports, and guaranteed under the export credits scheme, are in default?

Lieut.-Colonel J. COLVILLE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

It is not the practice to give information about individual countries or firms, but I can inform by hon. Friend that while, in the ordinary course, a certain number of bills on foreign buyers of British goods are unpaid from time to time, including buyers in Germany, there has not been any abnormal increase in Germany in recent times.
