HC Deb 19 July 1934 vol 292 c1271
55. Mr. PETHERICK

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether the committee set up by him to examine the problem of migration within the Empire has yet presented its report; whether it will be available for Members' of the House of Commons; and what action he proposes to take with regard to it?

Mr. J. H. THOMAS

I understand that the committee have completed their report and have discussed it at a series of meetings with the Oversea Settlement Committee. I anticipate that it will be presented to me at an early date; and I hope to arrange for its publication at such time as will make it available for Members of the House when the House reassembles.
